FACTSAGE

FactSage open online course

This four-day online course provides a structured introduction to computational thermochemistry and the FactSage software. You will gain hands-on experience with equilibrium calculations, phase diagrams, and key FactSage modules. Our instructors will guide you through the basics of Gibbs energy minimization and practical thermochemical modeling.

Course content:

  1. Introduction to thermochemistry
  2. Fundamentals of equilibrium calculations
  3. FactSage basics
  4. Core calculation modules: Reaction, Equilib, and Phase Diagram
  5. Result visualization and data manipulation in FactSage

Participants who do not have FactSage installed will receive access for the duration of the course. The number of seats is limited. Early registration is recommended!

This customized training is based on our FactSage Open Online Course, which covers equilibrium calculations, phase diagrams, and FactSage modules, while being tailored to the specific needs of your team. CALPHAD OPTIMIZER

Calphad Optimizer open online course

This three-day online course teaches you how to develop and refine thermodynamic databases using the Calphad methodology. With a balance of theory and hands-on exercises, you will gain practical insight into database creation, experimental design, and optimization techniques.

Course content:

  1. Introduction to thermochemical databases
  2. Setting up and structuring database input
  3. Defining experiments and applying weight factors
  4. Configuring optimization parameters and hyperparameters
  5. Analyzing and refining optimization results
  6. Conducting real-life optimizations using literature data

The course is designed to be interactive, with real-world examples to enhance practical application. Students who do not have FactSage installed will be granted access for the duration of the course. Seats are limited, so reserve your spot today!

Our Calphad Optimizer course is a custom course exclusively for your institution. The course follows the same structure as the open online course, including database creation, optimization techniques, and real-world examples, with adaptations based on your experience and needs. Available online, at your site, or at our headquarters in Herzogenrath, Germany.

ChemApp for Python self-study online course

This self-paced online course is hosted on the Teachable platform and provides structured learning about ChemApp for Python. It is designed for FactSage and ChemApp users of all backgrounds who want to enhance their skills, including those with no prior programming experience.

Course content:

  • 65 lecture units with over 6 hours of recorded video
  • 11 assignments and 8 quizzes
  • 4 workflow tutorials featuring industry-based case studies
  • Moderated comment sections for interaction and support
  • A certificate upon course completion

Access options: Standard (3 months of full course access, including assignments and quizzes) or Premium (12 months of full course access, reviewed assessments, and 2 hours of one-on-one consultation, including code review and project guidance).
