We have a long-standing partnership with IMD-1 (formally IEK-2, Institute for Energy and Climate Research) at Forschungszentrum Jülich, collaborating on various projects focused on high-temperature processes and materials research. We share deep roots with the Materials Chemistry department at RWTH Aachen, both originating from the 'Department of Theoretical Metallurgy', from which our company was spun out over 40 years ago. Our collaboration with The Spencer Group began with the development of a Noble Metal database. Today, we continue to work together on metal-related databases, including the Spencer Group’s Carbide-Nitride-Boride-Silicide database [SpMCBN], which extends the SGTE solutions database to cover refractory materials, serving industries focused on both metallic and refractory systems.

As an active SGTE member, we collaborate on developing and maintaining thermodynamic databases for inorganic and metallurgical systems. We also contribute to the SGTE Casebook, sharing knowledge across various thermodynamic applications. VTT is one of our key collaborators in the co-development of ChemSheet, focusing on integrating kinetic and thermodynamic data for inorganic processes.
