Abstract

Using the computer program ChemSage for calculation of complex chemical equilibria, the nature, amounts and sequence of formation of condensed substances resulting from the cooling of the gases produced during incineration processes have been investigated for different waste compositions and cooling conditions. Particular attention has been given to determining the conditions for formation of dioxins. As basis for the latter calculations, data for over 40 dioxins have been evaluated or estimated.
